Tuesday Tastes: The Timeless Pancake

I have never met a person who does not like pancakes. The most timeless breakfast item, and the food we all have separation anxiety with, alongside our deeply-rooted addiction (in a good way, of course). Today’s post is a tribute to this most beautiful piece of edible artwork. I hope you all enjoy, and I apologize in advance for you salivating all over your computers or phones. 🙂

Let’s start out with the simplest pancake I could find. It consists of two entire ingredients, and is 100% gluten free and ridiculously easy to make. Blogilates has this great 100% Natural Pancake recipe ready for the quick and healthy breakfast. (below)

Another very simple recipe, and one packed with protein. Cottage Cheese Pancakes, at your service.

This chocolate chip oatmeal pancake recipe completely caught my eye (and I have made them myself since finding this on Minimalist Baker’s website). I used all gluten-free options, but they are INCREDIBLY delicious, and the chocolate chip/oatmeal combination is superb. I really couldn’t get enough!

Keeping it on the sweet side for breakfast, this Whole Wheat Brown Sugar Banana Bread pancake… looks… fantastically delicious! Let the pictures speak for themselves, this is a keeper, for sure!

Heading more towards some savory options, I found a Melted Goat Cheese and Chive pancake. This seems TOTALLY up my alley, and something I could definitely dive into for brunch, alongside some crispy bacon or even some delicious pan-fried tofu! Hope you agree!

Lastly, I wanted to leave with you with the most traditional and popular pancake around: The Buttermilk Pancake. If you like it simple, delicious, moist and scrumptious without all the extra fixin’s, then here’s your breakfast treat! Topped with a buttermilk syrup… sounds like heaven doesn’t it?

Well, hope you are all ready and planning your breakfasts for tomorrow (or possibly even dinners for tonight) based on some of these great recipe finds! Sorry I’m not sorry about all your growling stomachs now, but go eat! And let me know what your favorite combinations may be 🙂 Have a fabulous day everyone!
