MIMM: Workouts and Doggies

Beauuuutiful day, my friends, isn’t it? The weather is FINALLY floating in the 60’s and tomorrow we’re expecting upper 70’s. Helloooo almost-summer! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Had a marvelous weekend, filled with mucho chilling with the fam, mucho workouts, and mucho eats. Om nom.

Starting this week, I’m going to keep track of my workouts on this blog. I think it’ll help me realize where I’m spending my time, and how to maximize workouts and improve along my fitness journey πŸ™‚

This week’s workouts:
Monday: Body Pump

Tuesday: Lower body lifting & 30 minutes pool running. After work, my mom, step dad and I went for a beautiful hour-long walk in our neighborhood with our pup Buddy πŸ™‚

Wednesday: 45 minute cycling class and 3 mile fun run at night (my PR!)

3 miles

Thursday: Upper body lifting and 30 minutes pool running

Friday: Body pump

Saturday: 2 mile run, 1-hour turbo kick, and 1-hour yoga. Then Saturday afternoon, my mom and I moved over half my things out of my old apartment to her house, as a buffer before I move into my new place. This really helped me cull through my clothing and other raaaandom things I’ve accumulated over the 2-years I lived there! SO helpful!

Sunday: Active rest day (went for a 4 mile walk to the grocery store in back!). We even cleaned out the chicken cage area, and rearranged all the stuff in my dad’s van and step-mom’s new Jeep! Thaaat was a lot to go through…

I also experimented with a new protein ball recipe! They are so good frozen, and fulfill those little sweet cravings I get after meals πŸ™‚

2 cups oats
3 mashed bananas
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbs unsweetened dark cocoa powder
1/4 cup all natural crunchy PB (or almond butter works)
1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce.

And bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees! Soooo delicious guys πŸ™‚

Another marvelous update?
This morning I filmed my first attempt at teaching Body Pump alone at my gym! It was SO fun, my body was PUMPING with adrenaline, and I only miffed a couple times… and realized the camera turned off automatically halfway through the routine πŸ™‚

Welp, there’s always Friday to re-film! Hopefully I can smooth out the bumps, and everything will work (thanks a TON, technology).
