#PictureframeFriday Number Two!

I goofed and didn’t take many pictures last night at Bastille Days, but we still had an AWESOME time! Here’s a recap of the night!

We met up with my family and a few friends and walked around and noshed on all the wonderful Frenchie foods they offer at Bastille Days. It was sooo relaxing and so great to catch up with my family!

Do mozzarella sticks count as Frenchie food? 😉 My little sister REQUIRES Saz’s mozz sticks anywhere they sell them.

My favorite favorite ❤

Met up with my friend Peggy who, we figured, I haven’t seen in OVER A YEAR. So happy so happy! 🙂

Bastille Days starts off the entire festival with a 5K run called Storm the Bastille. This run is always a special run for me, because it was actually my first 5K EVER four years ago. It marked the introduction to my “serious running,” and my willingness and openness to actually sweat. Ever since then… well, “I’ve got the bug!” as many runners will say 🙂 I’m so grateful for my dad who DRAGGED me through this race four years ago, showing clearly to me that, hey, sweating isn’t so bad… and hey, I kinda like feeling sore… Oh it’s good for my heart? I built up more hunger while running and am ready to devour some delicious food? It’s an incredible bonding experience with whomever I run, and I am so grateful and happy-happy thinking back to that first 5K of my running obsession 😀

^Yoga flow for this morning. I did some bicep and tricep work, after a tempo 3-mile run and it felt GREAT. ❤

What was your very first race? Do you remember it like it was yesterday? 🙂

Do you have any awesome festivals in your area you’re looking forward to this summer?

I hope you all have an amazing weekend and enjoy this gorgeous weather we FINALLY are having! Thank you Wisconsin 😉

Peace, xoxo.

  1. Very first race was a Jingle Bell 5K I ran with my parents when I was in 4th grade. I hated it. Haha. And not so surprisingly, 5Ks are still not a favorite 🙂 I cannot wait for the Cranberry festival in Nantucket (it’s in October, so not really summer, but maybe close enough??) Have a fabulous weekend!!!
