Good moooooooooooorning sunshine! 🙂 Happy Monday indeed! What a fabulous and busy busy weekend. Seriously, come September, our weekends will die down. I think. Maybe?
After work on Friday, Patrick and I were GRATEFUL to not have anything to do, except eat. Which obviously we’re always okay with doing. Since we were anxiously awaiting our triathlon scheduled the next morning, we had noooo problem indulging in a wide variety of delicious carbbzzzz for dinner.
Goat cheese croquettes.
Hard to see…but he had beef ravioli- literally stuffed with pulled meat off ribs.
And I had that. 🙂 PIZZA YAS.
The next morning came allllllll too early (of course) for my 2nd and Patrick’s 1st sprint triathlon! Needless to say, the weather was absolutely perfect, the swim was gorgeous, biking was fairly flat, and the run seemed to happen SO quickly.
^^ That is sweat.
Oh yeah, did I mention my dad’s a total baller and agreed to do this with me 3 weeks out? Hardly any training and HE kept ME going! Sooooo happy I can complete these events with him – Best dad ever! 🙂
My friend Kaylin also completed the triathlon! WOOHOO! She slayed it, and I’m so proud of her!
After the race, we relaxed and celebrated, and Patrick and I stopped by a really great farmer’s market in Oconomowoc! Yes, we bought legitimately all carbs (bread, granola bar, biscuits, etc.) and devoured the majority of them on the way home 🙂
By the end of the day, after a loooong day, I was exhausted and ready for all the gelato in the world, which the wonderful gelato lady gave me when I ordered a SMALL. This is the equivalent of a LARGE. Unfortunately I almost fell asleep eating it, so I finished the rest throughout the rest of the weekend 😉
Sunday morning. I’m tellin’ you guys… marathon training never quits. This was an 18 mile weekend for my training, but since I did the triathlon Saturday, I culled down my mileage to 12 on the blistering hot Sunday morning. Patrick alongside me riding his bike and giving me water every 10 minutes, I did it. And it felt GREAT!
And not with a moment to spare! We rushed off to Irish Fest to see my youngest sister and step-mom dance with Glencastle Irish Dancers! Man, that was such a great show. I’m a total proud big sister and daughter and I just LOVE seeing them perform and show off all their hard work and practice 🙂 ❤
She’s so great – just lookit that WIG! 🙂
The rest of our day was filled with relaxing with the family, EATING THIS AMAZING CLUB SANDWICH OH MY GOSH I NEED ANOTHER, and listening to some incredible Irish music 🙂 Great way to end the weekend!
He captioned this “me and me lucky charm! 😉 ” What a wonderful man ❤
Oh, and just a reminder 😉
Happy Monday everybody! Peace, xoxo.
