TOL: #7 – R&R, Running and Relaxing

Good moooooooorning people!  Thursdays are for “Thinking Out Loud” so I have a few thoughts to share with y’all! Aren’t you so excited?

Thinking-Out-LoudThe past few nights have.been.incredible. We’ve obviously been incredibly busy the last…oh…SUMMER and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we were able to relax, recover, and refuel. (aka EAT). I’ve been getting my runs in every day, just like my marathon training schedule demands. Yes, I’ve been enjoying my extra calorie intake, with the same ol’ dessert struggle per usual…

Tuesday night, we FINALLY made tacos! Go figure, we are always talking about Taco Tuesday and we got.it.downnnnnnnn! Fish tacos and sweet potato fries were on the menu, as was the movie Hitch, which is one of my absolute favorites.

Wednesday morning, I did a Turbofire workout, abs and arms. I know I’ve said this before, but seriously guys, for at home workouts, Chalene Johnson’s are incredible!

These bands are devlishly misleading, and my arms are STILL sore today. I love it!

I had to take a picture of yesterday’s breakfast too. The colors were just too perfect for this time of year 🙂 #gopackgo

Last night, I ran 3 miles around my apartment before it started getting REALLY windy. I swear the wind was blowing every single direction and my legs are screamin at me! Probably all that business about tornadoes in Wisconsin coming down around my area. YIKES!

We made open-face ham sandwiches last night. A little soy mayo, butter lettuce, ham, tomatoes on garlic sea salt bread we bought at the farmer’s market. #heaven

9 hours of sleep later… I got up super early to get my 6 miles in this morning. I was supposed to run them last night, but I am consistently a better morning runner, so I figured why not? Thursday sounds like a good day 🙂

And Patrick surprised me with breakfast after our workout at a delicious bakery/deli next to the gym. He knows the way to my heart 😉

THIS is the man I’m crazy about. 😉 Needless to say, we devoured our food. Thanks again boo thaaaaaang!

  1. All so fun! :))) Your posts make me so happy. I’m heading out of town tonight with the BF for a wedding this weekend and I can’t wait to get away for a few days. And to enjoy some cooler weather up north. Have a great day!!

    • Well thanks chiquita! 🙂 That sounds like so much fun! I bet you’ll bike there eh eh? 😉 The cooler weather will be a nice break. It’s only 60 here in Milwaukee today, and I’m totally okay with it! Have a wonderful time at that wedding! Can’t wait to see your blog and IG’s about it 🙂

  2. I’m also a much better morning runner (plus it feels good to get it out of the way before work!). Great job! And good luck to you in training. Right now I’m training for a half marathon and also have some shorter races happening!
