Phew, this week has been a whirlwind but I wanted to check in and give y’all an update on my workouts this week! I’ve been doing two-a-days… I know… its a nice/crazy problem to have… and I have some exciting news to share too!

Last Saturday, wonderful dad, lovely boyfriend, and awesome friends ran a half marathon. No big deal, cuz #marathontraining right? Wrong. I struggled SO hard. I had back pains, dehydration issues, and really just wanted to lay down and fall asleep. BUT I pushed on and finished it upright with a modicum of dignity… ha.

FullSizeRender(4) FullSizeRenderI started two new yoga challenges for this month. One is hosted by @kinoyoga and @beachyogagirl and the other is hosted by @fitqueenirene. If you have IG and love yoga, you absolutely need to follow them and do their challenges, because #theyrechallenging. I always learn something new about myself and my flexibility and skillz whenever I do them, so try it!

I went to a yoga class this morning and it was magical. Seriously – I felt so in tune with the teacher’s cues and the flow of the classroom was so peaceful. She even gave us some peppermint patchouli oil while we were in savasana to relax us. It was really hard for me not to shower that delicious scent off…

I’ve also been running, a lot. And I tried cycling this week again to get my legs moving in a new way. Shake it up right?

I’ve also been swimming a ton. And I LOVE IT. For some reason, Wisconsin has decided that summer is NOT over and it’s 95 degrees today. So swimming was a must to cool this lil mama down! Oh, and cold smoothies every hour on the hour please!

IMG_7754LAST BUT NOT LEAST – I was contemplating what kind of “running stuff” I could utilize for my marathon to help keep me running, fueled, hydrated, and motivated to kick some serious boo-tay! And I came to the conclusion that most of my “lost time” I could make up is when I’m at water stops. SO, CONCLUSION – get a Camelbak! I have all the water I need right on my back and I’m set for the whole race!

Well I brought this idea up to my dad and Patrick and they’re all “ehhh, maybe just wait”…. okay… So I waited. And WHAT SHOWS UP IN THE MAIL TODAY?

MY NEW BEST FRIEND! My amazing boyfriend who never ceases to surprise me had already ordered this beautiful piece of equipment for me to use in my training and on my race day. I seriously can’t thank him enough. #hegetsme

There’s my short and sweet summary for my week thus far of wonderfully delicious workouts. Swimming, biking, lifting, running, and lots of eating. LOTS of eating. #lifeisgood 🙂
