Happy March!
WOW, IT IS MARCH. My sister’s birthday month and the month in which Spring begins! YAY! That means running outside and no more winter coats or icky snow and lots of pretty flowers and birds! I love Spring. π
SO, on to my new things! I have officially started my new job AND I LOVE IT. Ok l know, it’s only day 2, but seriously this company is wonderful and welcoming and friendly. And I love that my awesome friend Blair works here and referred me! It’s such a great layout and organization, I’m so excited to make my imprint on the company over the next few years.
My schedule has changed too, since now I work at 8:00 and will eventually be switching to 7:00am, so my workouts are in the early early mornings now AND I LOVE IT. I miss this feeling! Feeling sore while going throughout my day and eating knowing it’s repairing my muscle fiber tears from that morning’s workout. It feels so good.
This includes my marathon training runs. Since I workout first thing in the morning, I decided if it’s less than 5 miles I will do it in the morning. But any more, I’ll do at night with Patrick π He runs faster than me anyways so that’ll work out π
I’m also incorporating more yoga and lifting/Body Pump classes too, so that’ll help my endurance and strength for my longer future runs. I can’t wait to get up in those miles! (And up in those calories haha!).
I’m doing quite a few yoga challenges on Instagram this month, so I’m excited to see how I can grow and push myself. I want to improve my flexibility a lot, and my balance should come with that I hope!
My eating regime is pretty much the same as always in terms of WHAT I’m eating, but I am munching where 3-ish hours every day, to keep my metabolism going and to keep my muscles repairing from every workout. I’m increasing my protein too, with lots of meat sources and protein powder every morning in my smoothies. I looooove protein so this isn’t a hard thing for me to change π
How does your eating change when you’re training?
I want to try some new protein rich recipes I found online recently:
Chicken and Asparagus Teriyaki Stir Fry
Maple Balsamic and Herb Chicken
Braised Lamb Shanks with Celery Root and Rosemary
23 Crockpot Recipes for Busy Weeknights
Any awesome recipes you’ve seen recently??
Have a beautiful day! And HAPPY MARCH!!!
Peace , xoxo.
so happy to hear you are loving your new job, what a great feeling! All your yoga moves have definitely inspired me to get back at it and improve my flexibility. I really enjoyed yoga and am happy to bring it back to my rotation π
