As the sun is streaming in through our windows this morning and I sip my coffee… I see how wonderful life has become lately. Everything culminating to this exact moment has happened for a reason, and whether I liked it at the time or not, it happened and now here I am. 😊 It’s a wonderful feeling knowing things work out in the end, isn’t it?
I hope you all are having a great weekend so far! Sundays are always the best days since we rarely ever plan things to do outside of the house, and get time to relax together, clean and prep for the coming week, and of course, #Netflixandchill. (Our favorite Sunday ritual!)
We ran 14 miles yesterday for our marathon training, which was the longest we’ve gone so far! It was tough in the last few miles, but it felt so good at the end and we both finished strong, smiling, and upright! We’ve been switching off running indoors on a track, on a treadmill [bleh], and outside when it’s nicer; we’re supposed to get nicer weather these coming weeks so I hope our runs will permanently be outside going forward!
Our friends also came in from out of town and joined us for the Lakefront Brewery tour in Milwaukee which has always been one of my favorites!
Since we both have fulltime jobs during core hours now, I will definitely be prepping more food in advance on Sundays and after work at night for breakfasts and lunches. I have been doing some research and easy-to-prep larger batches of food we like, so it’s gonna be a productive cooking day today!
I’ve also been keeping up my daily yoga of course, which has been a lifesaver compared to sitting in a desk chair at work and walking around our large work campus that takes up quite a few blocks. My yoga challenges are pushing me to new limits and it’s fun experimenting with new stretches and poses!
