Whyyyy is Wisconsin still confused about the weather?? We are SO CLOSE to having almost-warm weather, and it was starting to feel like Spring! But then… snow, again. And sometimes no sunshine, and it just feels dreary. Woof.
That being said – I know there’s reason to hope! It’s just the beginning of April and I know it’ll be warm and Springy in no time… I tell myself 🙂 And then our runs can be warm and happy and always outside!
With the beginning of April comes TONS of yoga challenges on IG, and I’m trying to do as many as I can do… that aren’t acro yoga, don’t require partners, and actually contain yoga poses I think I can do 😉 I gravitate towards inversion challenges, obviously, and ones that include backbends too. Those are my favorite kinds of poses I’ve come to find, and I’m cultivating my efforts to get better and better at new ones! Feeling stronger is a huge confidence booster for me doing these challenges, and it’s fun to intertwine them with my marathon training too 🙂 Yin and yang!
Other than yoga challenges and marathon training, work has been keeping me busy for the majority of my awake time, and I’ve been learning so much while on my own, bustling around helping customers and making sure I’m learning as much as I can along the way. It’s been almost two months, and I already am so comfortable in my own space, asking questions, and creating new relationships with my customers and service providers. It’s a wonderful thing, and my days are flyyyyying by with productivity 🙂
Especially when my friend brings her puppy Ronan in to visit. THAT makes me super duper happy 🙂 She even got him a photo shoot, which I am SOOO doing when we get our first puppy… Details coming soon 😉
After last weekend’s move, we have been nicely settling into our space here at the apartment, and our little nook is really feeling like home. I love feeling cozy with pillows and blankets and candles, so it’s been a nice transition, while we, of course, watch Criminal Minds almost every single night. 10 Seasons people… that’s more than enough to keep us occupied on Netflix! 🙂
I’ve been cooking quite a bit every night too. Meal prepping and washing dishes take up half my home-time, I swear. I made protein bites with my Vega protein powder and THEY.ARE.SO.GOOD. Next time I want to try putting some brewed coffee in there for some ZING 🙂
I also made a totally perfect dinner Tuesday night, if I do say so myself. Turkey burgers and Brussels sprouts. Cooked to perfection. 🙂 I love cooking, yes I do! And I’ve been making my usual coconut oil-fried veggies and hard boiled eggs almost every day too; just the best go-to- snacks and fillers!
My newest favoritest addition to my life is the huge growler of kombucha in our fridge, which I partake in every day, sometimes multiple times. I have no trouble refilling this delicious gallon every week to soothe my troubled tummy whenever needed 🙂
Looking forward to a really fun weekend, running a half marathon, visiting our friends in Chicago, and decorating the apartment more! 🙂 I love what’s going on with life right now, it’s pretty exciting and it’s also getting more and more comfortable and relaxing. I am happy and I am grateful!
Happy Thursday friends – hope you all have exciting, new things to look forward to in your lives 🙂 Eat, run, sleep, repeat 🙂
Oh, and I’m back into the Body Pump world! Can’t WAIT to get teaching again! Look for more updates on me teaching there too 🙂
Peace, xoxo. #feelthebern
