Happy Sunday again! This weekend is unique for us, because we got our long run out of the way Friday night since it was our nicest weather for the weekend. Anddddd we were able to actually sleep in both days and go out with friends both nights! 🙂
Officially ONE WEEK until the big race. We are honestly both very excited and are also both incredibly determined to hit our goal times. We trained very well together, hit all our required miles, recovered well, and have been sleeping/hydrating appropriately too! Really can’t wait to post a blog about it next week you guys 🙂
Also Thursday night, I came home from a Happy Hour with my coworkers to this delicious dinner that Patrick whipped up. Literally my favorite combination! Chicken sausage and sauteed vegetables. Needless to say, I gobbled it up way too fast 🙂
This morning I made a banana oatmeal muffin recipe and they turned out SO GOOD. No flour or sugar! I’m absolutely adding these to our permanent recipe box 🙂
This week I’m focusing on yoga and some light weight lifting but aside from a few runs, I’m ultimately not going to work my legs hard at all. To recover and make sure our bodies are fully charged for the race. Woooooo!!!
Friday night we went over to our friends’ home for a wonderful night with wine and food and watching Chef Netflix shows that we are all so obsessed with now! Seriously addicted to cooking shows…
Saturday we went to my cousin’s bridal shower and it was so wonderful seeing that side of my family again! She is getting married in Mexico this fall!!! Living the dream… 🙂
And Saturday night we went to dinner at a funky delicious restaurant in Bayview and then headed over to our friend’s play that he directed! We are such groupies and love seeing the productions he acts in and is involved with as often as we can!
Today? We rest. And meal prep. And are going shopping for the first time in probably months haha! Off we go!
